Officer Vella

Each year, we honor our fallen Huntington Beach Police Officers during National Police Week. In the United States this is an observance that pays tribute to the local, state, and federal peace officers who have dies, or who have been disabled, in the line of duty.

We honor and remember these fallen Huntington Beach heroes:

  • Officer Darst — EOW: October 13, 1928
  • Officer Prince — EOW: December 1, 1974
  • Officer Vella — EOW: February 19, 2022 (pictured above)
  • Police Service Dog Kim — EOW: May 26, 1991
