Introducing Multi-Factor Authentication

A more secure way to access your accounts

A more secure way to access your accounts

At Huntington Beach Credit Union, your account security is a top priority. That's why we're adding Multifactor Authentication (MFA) to our online banking.

What is MFA?

SImply put, MFA is an extra layer of security used when you're logging into your account. You'll be asked to confirm information only you would know to verify your identity. Your password combined with MFA makes it more difficult for hackers to access your accounts.

How will MFA work?

Beginning July 8, when you log into Online Banking you will be prompted to select Security Questions with answers easy for you to know but difficult for others to guess.

You will then be prompted to set up One Time Passcode on your phone. This will let you choose whether to receive the passcode by text or a phone call. Follow the prompts to submit a phone number, then enter the Verification Code that is sent to you.

For subsequent logins, you'll simply indicate the phone to send the verification code to to complete your login.
